In 2017 we marked an important milestone by being selected to redesign the website for Sri Lanka’s largest conglomerate – John Keells Holdings. 3CS continued to develop exciting websites for major brands in Sri Lanka and won the gold medal for Best Web Developer at the Bestweb competition in 2018 and 2019. The award in 2019 marked a decade of dominance as the Best Web Developer at this competition. In 2018 the News 1st website, which was completely redesigned by 3CS, won gold as the Best Media website and also the gold medal for the Best Overall website in Sri Lanka. In 2019 3CS won gold in the Best Travel & Tourism category for the Wattura Resort & Spa website. 2019 brought new challenges with the Easter Attacks that had a major impact on the economy. With the safety of our team in mind, 3CS switched many team members to working full-time from home and reduced our dependence on a centralized office. When the country was locked down in March 2020 due to the COVID pandemic, our systems were fully geared to work from home. We were able to switch our entire team to working from home and saw no loss of productivity when the office was closed for over 2 months. After the lockdown was relaxed in May 2020 we decided to follow the model of global technology giants like Google, Facebook and Twitter and continue most of our team working from home.

From 2021 to 2024 Sri Lanka continued to experience economic and political challenges that created an extremely difficult environment for companies to operate in. 3CS had to discover innovative ways to operate, and continue to provide our clients with seamless services, in a country with fuel, electricity, transport, and gas shortages. Despite these obstacles, 3CS continued to develop cutting-edge websites and won the Best Web Developer award in Sri Lanka in 2021 and 2023 (we did not compete in 2022).

We have always been a highly agile company, ready to make fundamental changes to the way we operate in order to adapt to changing conditions. We continue to remain at the forefront of of this trend in Sri Lanka. Over time we have grown from just two people to an elite team of 25 people. We have significantly expanded our infrastructure, resource base and team capabilities, improving our ability to deliver high quality solutions. We have a highly skilled and dedicated team of consultants, designers, software developers, content writers, engineers and digital marketing specialists. Technology is constantly evolving but 3CS has remained ahead of the industry in Sri Lanka. 10 years ago 3CS was using technologies that have become mainstream today. We are among the pioneers who introduced eCommerce to Sri Lanka. We were among the first companies to effectively optimize websites for search engines. We are pioneers in web design for the travel and leisure sector. We continue to introduce tried and tested innovations to our solutions. We have a broad-based portfolio of projects successfully implemented, supported and maintained over many years.

We are excited by the innovations and opportunities offered by the rapidly developing field of Artificial Intelligence. We look forward to utilising these technologies to continue innovating in our field.

After 27 years 3CS looks back on an extraordinary journey, along which we have learned, grown and reached great heights in our industry. We look with confidence towards a future we hope to play a role in shaping.
